Leaving the pits for our practices at race starts. It was a bit unnerving entering the first corner with so many cars around you and limited visability out of the car.

Coming around for the race start. The pace car has left the track and we are looking for the green flag.

Crossing the line and getting the checkered flag. Normally more exciting, for us it just meant to take a cool-down lap and bring the cars in.

This is one of the cars they would not let us drive. Notice the different paint scheme. It has more horsepower and the suspension is tuned for less understeer.

A weekend in Beaufort

Julie and I went to our place in Beaufort for a long weekend. I took a handful of pictures and a few of them came out. In general, not a great photography session.

A sea gull sitting in the marina, hoping for a last morsel of food before night sets in.

The moon sitting behind an American flag. The flag is flying on the mast of a sailboat.

I was down taking some pictures of the sun setting over a creek near Beaufort, NC. It wasn't that interesting a sunset, but I am trying to learn to take excellent sunset pictures with my new camera.

The light just kept changing
