Her

Julie and I went to see the movie Her, which is up for Best Pictures at the Academy Awards.  Our vote?  Nope.  Not so much.

The movie is about a guy who falls in love with his computer operating system.  Think Siri on an iPhone, only much, much more sophisticated.  The best news is that she didn't misunderstand half of what you say, which seems to be the norm for Siri.

Even though Samantha, the operating system was a lot more human, it was a bit creepy and very sad to watch.  The acting was good but about an hour in, I was wondering how long the movie would last.  That's never a good sign.

So, if you are shopping through the Best Picture candidates to pick ones to see, we would both leave this off the list.
