Rufous Hummingbird
A few days ago, I blogged about a hummingbird in the yard that wouldn't sit still long enough for a photo.Well, good thins come to those who wait, and wait with a camera.
He's a cute little guy, but he's still a hummingbird feeder bully.
Next step is to try and get some good pictures in flight.

Steve, check out this youtube about a place in Alaska where they feed rufouses by hand. I guess they are better behaved north of you.

That kills me. I have three hummingbird feeders, but there are a few males who simply want to "own" all of them. The video of all those hummingbirds on the feeder at once just doesn't happen here. Utah must have socially disturbed birds.
The only way I have found to get close-up shots is a DSLR with about two feet of lens on the front. They are way too skittish.
