Fall and Football

To kick off the college football season, we invited some friends over to watch the Michigan-Alabama game.  It was supposed to be a good one, with #2 playing #8 the first weekend of the year.

Chef Julie, already wearing her Michigan garb, was busy in the kitchen baking some cheese scones before the game.
The finished product looked and tasted delicious.
The bad news is that this was the peak of the evening.  As friends arrived and the game started, Alabama covered the 13.5 point spread in the first quarter, 21-7, and never looked back.

Between NC State's terrible play against Tennessee and Michigan getting whomped by Alabama, I am left feeling that this isn't going to be a good year for Joyce family football.

At least we have leftovers!

Yeah, and Navy got pulverized by Notre Dame, too. What an embarrassment.
